National Partnership for Action to End Health Disparities (NPA)
The NPA focus is on the health status and health outcomes among racial and ethnic minority populations such as African Americans, American Indians and Alaska Natives, Asian Americans, Hispanics/Latinos and Native Hawaiians and other Pacific Islanders. Their website includes information about the health disparities these minority groups are subject to, identifies goals to change these disparities and presents state partnership opportunities and health disparities campaigns among other things.

The Office of Minority Health and Health Disparities (OMHD)
The U.S. Department of Health and Human Services created the OMHD in 1985 as a result of the Report of the Secretary’s Task Force on Black and Minority Health which revealed gaps in health status among Americans of different racial and ethnic groups. The website exists to not only describe the existing differing racial and ethnic minority populations, but to provide resources to these minority populations. It also provides information about upcoming conferences held in reference to health disparities, training opportunities, and journal publications.

National Center on Minority Health and Health Disparities (NCMHD)
The mission of the NCMHD is to promote minority health and to lead, coordinate, support, and assess the National Institutes of Health (NIH) effort to reduce and eliminate health disparities involving cancer, diabetes, infant mortality, AIDS, cardiovascular illnesses and other diseases. The website provides information about research done in regards to minority health and health disparities, promotes research training, provides health disparities press releases, etc.

Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC)
The CDC aims to eliminate health disparities for vulnerable populations. The website provides information about numerous populations affected by health disparities including adolescent youth, men, the disabled, pregnant women, children, minorities, and lesbians, to name a few.

American Public Health Association (APHA)
APHA’s purpose is to promote public health advocacy in order to protect all Americans and their communities from preventable, serious health threats. APHA represents a broad array of health providers, educators, environmentalists, policy makers, and health officials. The website provides reports and fact sheets about health disparities, information about rebuilding the public health infrastructure, and posts letters written to congress in regards to health disparities.

Families USA
Family USA: Minority Health’s objective is to keep advocates connected to the most pressing issues affecting minority health. The website offers the latest resources in minority health through many tools including a calendar of future events, an e-mail list to be kept updated, and a monthly newsletter.

Center for Health Care Strategies, Inc. (CHCS)
The basis of CHCS is to form relationships between states and health plans in the public and private sector to leverage opportunities, to identify and address health care disparities and improve quality for all populations. The website provides data on race and ethnicity health disparities as well as the best practices for addressing these disparities on a community level. It also publishes journal articles, policy and issue briefs, case studies and meeting highlights in regards to health disparities.

Prevention Institute: The Tool For Health And Resilience in Vulnerable Environments (THRIVE)
The target of THRIVE is to help people understand and prioritize the factors within their own communities that can help and improve health and safety. The website is a tool that helps identify key factors and allows users to rate how important that factor might be in their own communities. It also provides information about how each factor is related to health outcomes.

Woodrow Wilson International Center For Scholars
This organization promotes global health initiatives including health status disparities in the United States. It hosts a numerous amount of conferences and then posts the conference papers, powerpoint presentations, actual video of the event and event summaries on their website.

Robert Wood Johnson Foundation (RWJF)
RWJF is an organization committed to improving the quality of health care for all Americans. Their goal is to align forces for quality communities. The website offers resources and information on health care quality including journal articles, research and publications as well as updates; it also provides an overview of the current state of quality, a guide to help consumers compare doctors and hospitals, and a glossary of health care quality terms.
